To mount the HINKLEY 22030 Lighting Fixture, please follow these steps:
1. Find a clear area in which you can work and unpack the fixture and glass from the carton.
2. Carefully review the instructions prior to assembly.
3. Remove the main mounting plate (A) from the fixture's backplate (B) by removing the flat head screws (C).
4. Slide the wires from the junction box through the large center hole, ensuring that the curved slots (D) line up with the threaded holes (E) in the junction box.
5. Attach the main mounting plate (A) to the junction box using two 8-32 screws (F) (not provided), making sure the side of the mounting plate (A) is vertical.
6. Before mounting the fixture to the wall, attach the tail brace bracket (1) to the wall. Temporarily attach the fixture to the mounting bracket (A). Locate the centerline of the backplate (B) and measure down 5" (125mm), placing a mark at this point. Drill a hole for the plastic anchor (3) provided, insert the anchor, and mount the tail brace bracket (1) with the provided xxxx (4), ensuring that the xxxx hole in the top of the tail bracket is facing up.
7. Wire the fixture following the instruction sheet (I5-18).
8. After wiring is completed, slip the tail brace (5) onto the tail (T), slide the backplate (B) over the mounting plate (A) and tail brace (5) over the tail brace bracket (1). Align the xxxx holes in the backplate with the threaded holes in the mounting plate.
9. Thread the xxxx (C) removed earlier into the holes. Then, secure the tail brace (5) by threading the xxxx (6) into place.
Please ensure that you read and follow all safety warnings and consult a qualified electrician or local authorities for code requirements if new wiring is required.
