To install the on a Hager 45/4600 series device, please follow the steps below:
1. Remove the Head Cover from the device.
2. Remove the two screws securing the Housing to the Baserail.
3. Slide off the Housing to expose the Pushpad and Baserail Assembly.
4. Install the Spacer onto the connecting rod in front of the back activating bracket to increase the return spring tension. Make sure the Spacer is facing the correct direction.
5. If your device has Mechanical Dogging, flip the Baserail over and remove the two screws securing the dogging to the Baserail.
6. Push down on the Push Pad to extend the connecting rod's Dogging Hole.
7. Slide the Motor Kit's Attaching Arm into the Dogging Hole. Make sure the motor kit mounting bracket is on top of the Baserail.
8. Flip the Baserail/Pushpad over, holding the motor kit in place so it stays attached. Secure the Motor Kit with the two provided M4 Screws.
9. Slide the Baserail motor side first back into the exit device Housing. Make sure the Motor and Baserail go into the proper channels.
10. Re-install the two screws securing the Housing to the Baserail.
After completing the installation, make sure to set the "Push to Set Adjustment" using the following steps:
1. To enter PTS mode, depress the MM5 button and apply power. The device will emit one short beep, indicating it is in PTS mode.
2. While depressing the push pad, apply power (e.g., presenting the credential to the reader).
3. Continue to keep the pad depressed. The device will emit one long beep. After the beep has stopped, release the pad. The adjustment is now complete. Test the new location, and if it is not to your liking, repeat the three steps.
