To use the AUTOOL SDT205 Smoke Leak Detector, follow these steps:
1. Open the engine cover and hook the detector to the front cover of the engine.
2. Open the access port of the system you want to test and seal it with the provided tapered adapter. If there are multiple access ports, block them with rubber plugs.
3. Connect the detector to the smoke exit pipe of the tested device using the provided tapered quick coupling.
4. Connect the detector to a DC12V battery, ensuring the red clamp is connected to the positive terminal and the black clamp to the negative terminal.
5. Once the power supply is correctly connected, the built-in air pump will start working and output smoke.
6. Check the pressure gauge reading. If it reaches more than 15 PSI, there is no leakage. If the reading is low and fluctuates continuously, there is a leak.
7. Turn on the power switch of the detector. Smoke will be output at a speed of 6L/min into the tested system. The leak point will emit smoke outward. You can use a bright light to improve the detection effect.
8. After completing the detection, disconnect the cables, smoke duct pipeline, and related accessories.
