Sure! Here are the step-by-step instructions for installing the STARLINK Wedge Flat High-Performance Kit with Mount:
1. Plan Your Install:
- Choose a structurally sound, horizontal surface away from other equipment for mounting.
- Determine the appropriate installation hardware based on your mounting surface: machine screws and nuts, lag bolts, or blind hole nuts and machine screws.
- If installing on a vehicle, orient the mount so the low end is pointing forward.
2. Box Contents:
- Review the installation options in the "Plan Your Install" section to determine if any additional items or hardware are needed.
3. Installation:
Option 1 - Machine Screws and Nuts:
- Use the Wedge Mount as a guide and mark the four corner hole locations.
- Drill four 1/4" (6.5 mm) holes through the surface at the marked locations.
- Place rubber sealing washers over the holes, followed by the mount.
- Apply silicone sealant to fill the holes on the mount.
- Install a washer on each of the four machine screws and apply silicone sealant to the threads.
- Insert the machine screws into the mount and pre-drilled holes.
- Install a washer and nut on each machine xxxx and tighten using a 7/16" socket and wrench.
Option 2 - Lag Bolts:
- Follow the same steps as Option 1, but drill four 3/32" (2 mm) holes instead.
- Insert the lag bolts with a washer and use a drill with a 7/16" socket to drive them ~90% in.
- Use a socket wrench to tighten the lag bolts to snug plus 1/4 turn.
Option 3 - Blind Hole Nuts and Machine Screws:
- Follow the same steps as Option 1, but drill four 1/2" (13 mm) holes instead.
- Insert the blind hole nuts and apply silicone sealant in and around the holes.
- Install a washer on each of the four machine screws and apply silicone sealant to the threads.
- Insert the machine screws into the mount and blind hole nuts.
- Use a 7/16" socket wrench to tighten the screws to snug plus 1/4 turn.
4. Route your Cable:
- If you want to route your cable through an exterior surface, follow the provided steps in the manual.
- Otherwise, route your cable to the interior and skip to the next section.
5. Install Starlink:
- Place your Starlink face-down on a clean surface.
- Wet the shoulder bolt threads with thread locker and install them into the threaded holes near the cable port.
- Use an 1/8" hex key to tighten the bolts to hand tight.
- Align the shoulder bolts into the keyway on the bottom of the mount and push down to lock the Starlink into place.
- Wet the threads of the 1/2" long machine screws with thread locker and install them into the remaining holes with washers to secure the Starlink.
- Use a 3/16" hex key to tighten the screws to snug plus 1/4 turn; do not overtighten.
- Plug the Starlink cable into the port on the bottom of the Starlink.
