To prepare the Maytronics MBC8-UNI Robot Pool Cleaner for use, follow these steps:
1. Lay out the cable: Unwind the minimal required cable to cover the entire pool size and straighten the cable along the pool side. Make sure there are no twists or kinks.
2. Use the original supplied power supply unit: Only use the power supply unit that comes with the robot pool cleaner. The power supply unit is splash-proof, but do not immerse it in water.
3. Unplug the power supply unit before servicing: Before performing any servicing activity, make sure to unplug the power supply unit.
4. Do not plug in the power supply unit before placing the pool cleaner in the water: Ensure that the pool cleaner is placed in the water before plugging in the power supply unit.
5. Ensure the mains outlet is protected: Make sure the mains outlet is protected by a ground fault interrupter (GFI) or an earth leakage interrupter (ELI).
6. Important safety precautions: Do not enter the swimming pool while the pool cleaner is working. Keep the robotic pool cleaner out of the reach of children or persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction.
7. Inserting the robot pool cleaner into the pool: Place the robot pool cleaner into the pool and release the handle. If using the combined brushes or Wonder brushes, gently squeeze the Wonder brush material until it is totally wet.
8. Turning the robot pool cleaner on: Plug the floating cable from the robot pool cleaner into the power supply unit. Plug the electrical cable from the power supply unit into the mains. Press the ON/OFF switch. The robot pool cleaner will now start to work.
9. Taking the robot pool cleaner out of the water: Before any servicing activity, unplug the power supply. If the robot pool cleaner has not finished its cycle, turn off the power supply unit and unplug the mains. Pull the floating cable gently until the robot pool cleaner has risen to the surface, then lift it by the handle. Do not lift the robot pool cleaner from the water by its cable.
