To ensure the best results when using NEENAH Laser Heat Transfer Paper, follow these guidelines:
1. Print the image right-reading: Make sure to print the image in the correct orientation, so it appears correctly when transferred onto the fabric.
2. Trim away unprinted areas (optional): If desired, trim away any unprinted areas of the transfer before transferring it onto the fabric.
3. Prepare the garment/fabric: Before transferring the image, ensure that the surface of the garment or fabric is clean, dry, and wrinkle-free. You can use a lint brush and your heat press to achieve this.
4. Transferring the image: Bend a corner of the transfer paper to remove the backing paper from the printed image. Place the printed image on top of the garment with the image facing up (right-reading to you). Completely cover the image with siliconized parchment paper. Press the transfer for 30 seconds at 350°F/177°C using medium pressure (30 psi/2 to 3 bar).
5. Peeling off the parchment paper: After the transfer has cooled completely, peel off the parchment paper in a smooth, even motion.
6. Washing instructions: To maintain the transferred image, turn the garment inside out and wash it in cold water using a mild detergent. Avoid using bleach and dry the garment on a low-heat setting.
7. Ironing the transferred area: If you intend to iron the transferred area, ensure that the image is covered with parchment paper before ironing.
