To install the Continental FE5RW0D31 5G DSDA NAD Module in your vehicle, please follow these steps:
1. The FE5RW0D31 module is designed to be integrated into Data Connectivity Modules (DCMs) or Head Units (HUs) manufactured by Continental or a third-party for automotive OEMs.
2. During the manufacturing process of the integrated device, the module is soldered onto the PCB of the integrated device.
3. The integrated device must provide RF connectors to external antennas or RF traces to connect the FE5RW0D31 module to antennas inside the integrated device. The recommended RF trace layout, including PCB stack-up and trace length, is described in Section 6 of the user guide.
4. It is important to note that the module is limited to installation ONLY in an integrated device manufactured by Continental Automotive Systems, Inc. and should not be removed or installed by the end-user.
5. The module must be installed to provide a separation distance of at least 20 cm from all persons and must not be co-located or operate in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.
6. The automotive OEM is responsible for ensuring that the end-user has no manual instructions to remove or install the module.
Please refer to the user guide for further details and specific instructions related to the installation and usage of the Continental FE5RW0D31 5G DSDA NAD Module.
