To assemble and use the KaWe F.O. 30 Otoscope LED Eurolight, please follow the instructions provided in the manual.
1. Assembly:
- For EUROLIGHT / COMBILIGHT models: Insert the battery or rechargeable battery into the handle, ensuring correct polarity and lamp type (2.5V or 3.5V). Follow the instructions in Section 8: Maintenance and Service for further details.
- For PICCOLIGHT models: Insert 2x Mignon or AA 1.5V batteries into the handle, checking the polarity. xxxx the head onto the handle.
2. Turning on the lamp:
- For EUROLIGHT / COMBILIGHT models: Press the latching switch and turn the illumination regulator to the left to turn on the lamp. To turn it off, turn the regulator back to its starting position (0). The illumination intensity can be adjusted gradually.
- For PICCOLIGHT models: Use the sliding switch to turn the lamp on or off.
3. Duration of operation:
- The device is not intended for continuous operation. The maximum duration of one use is 1 minute, with a 10-minute pause between uses.
4. Preparation for use:
- Check the assembled otoscope for damage, impurities, and compatibility. Ensure that the moving parts (magnifying glass frame, plug junctions) move smoothly.
- Check that the lamp is securely attached and functioning properly.
- Check the battery charge. If all checks are successful, sanitize the otoscope and attach a new ear funnel before using it to examine a patient.
5. Sanitary preparation:
- Disposable ear funnels are single-use only and should not be cleaned or reused.
- Clean reusable ear funnels immediately after use to prevent impurities from drying up.
