To connect microphones and other audio sources to the ART Pro Audio USBMIX6 mixer, follow these steps:
1. For mono channels CH1 and CH2, use the combo XLR/¼-inch jacks. Connect microphones to the balanced XLR jack. If you are using a phantom-powered microphone, you can activate the +48V phantom power by switching on the PHANTOM POWER switch. Make sure not to connect a microphone with an unbalanced output via the XLR plug to avoid damage.
2. For mono channels CH1 and CH2, you can also connect mono sources with line level to the unbalanced ¼-inch jacks. If you are connecting high impedance musical instruments like electric guitars or electric bass, engage the impedance switch for that channel.
3. For stereo channels CH3/4 and CH5/6, use the ¼-inch TRS inputs for connecting stereo or mono line-level sources. The CH3/4 inputs are balanced, but you can also connect unbalanced units. If you are connecting a mono unit to CH3/4, use the Left jack only.
4. For stereo channel CH5/6, you can also use the unbalanced RCA inputs.
Note: Make sure to adjust the input amplification using the GAIN control for each channel and make any necessary sound adjustments using the EQ controls.
