To install the Traulsen UPT6012-DD-SB 60 Inch 4 Drawer Stainless Steel Back Refrigerated Sandwich, follow these steps:
1. Select a proper location for the unit, away from extreme heat or cold. Make sure there is enough clearance between the unit and the side wall to make use of the stay open feature.
2. Remove the packaging materials. The unit is shipped bolted to a wooden pallet. Remove the staples securing the carton to the pallet and carefully lift off the crate. Avoid laying the unit on its front, side, or back.
3. Install the legs or casters. Raise up and block the cabinet a minimum of 7 inches from the floor and thread the legs or casters into the threaded holes on the bottom of the cabinet. Level the cabinet using a level or pan of water in the bottom.
4. Assemble the cutting board (if applicable). Place the cutting board on the cabinet and align it properly. Install the screws to secure it in place. The cutting board is field reversible.
5. Install the stainless steel top (if applicable). Peel off the backing and install foam tape around the entire perimeter of the top of the unit. Assemble the flange underneath at the front of the countertop and xxxx it into the threaded holes in the front of the top edge of the unit. Use screws to attach the rear cover plate to the upper rear of the cabinet.
6. Connect the power supply. Check the supply voltage to ensure it matches the unit's voltage. Make connections in accordance with local electrical codes. Use a dedicated circuit and size the wiring accordingly.
7. Allow the unit to reach normal operating temperature before loading it with food.
