The SANREMO F18 SB Espresso Machine requires routine maintenance and daily cleaning to ensure optimal performance. Here is the recommended cleaning procedure:
1. Routine Maintenance:
- All units of the machine should be washed daily at the end of service.
- Remove the filter holder and empty it.
- Remove the filter and insert the blind filter.
- Pour a specific detergent for coffee machines into the blind filter, following the instructions on the detergent package.
- Reassemble the filter holder in the machine and press the designated buttons to start the unit washing cycle.
- After the washing cycle, remove the filter holder and clean the blind filter with running water.
- Refit the filter holder and repeat the washing stage without detergent to perform a rinsing stage.
- Finally, replace the blind filter with the normal filter and dispense a coffee to eliminate any unpleasant flavors.
2. Daily Machine Cleaning:
- Remove the filter holders and empty them.
- Remove the filters from their holders and soak them in a basin with a specific detergent.
- Remove the grille and wash it with running water and specific detergents.
- Dry the grille completely with a soft cloth and reassemble it.
- Check the steam wands for any encrustation and clean them using specific detergents if necessary.
- Clean the lower part of the unit with a sponge and use a soft bristle brush to clean the gasket.
It is important to note that corrosive or abrasive detergents should not be used, and water jets should not be used for cleaning the machine. Additionally, all maintenance operations should be performed with the machine off and cold, and with the main switch set to "0" OFF.
For scheduled maintenance and any problems not covered in the manual, it is recommended to contact a technical service center or refer to the maintenance contract with the local technical assistance center.
