The Blueridge BH1P Indoor Coils should be inspected twice a year and cleaned at least once a year or more if necessary. It is recommended to have a licensed professional service technician perform the indoor coil cleaning. The coil should be vacuumed or brushed to remove debris from the fins, and then cleaned with clean potable water. It is important to use water at a moderate pressure (less than 50 psi) and to spray the coil at a vertical angle of 30 to 45 degrees. Do not use high-pressure water, steam, or volatile cleaners on the fins or tubing surfaces. If necessary, a coil cleaner with a pH in the range of 5 to 9 can be used, but the coil must be thoroughly rinsed after cleaning. In coastal areas, the coil should be cleaned with potable water several times per year to avoid corrosive buildup.
