To perform a continuity test with the PeakTech 1090 AC/DC voltage tester with RCD, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the batteries in the voltage tester are installed and in good condition.
2. Disconnect the test leads from any source of voltage before starting the continuity test.
3. Use both test probes to measure the conductor you want to test.
4. The continuity test will only work on non-active conductors.
5. If the circuit resistance is less than 200 kΩ, a continuous beep will sound and the LED for the continuity test will light up.
6. If there is no continuous beep or the LED does not light up, check the circuit resistance and make sure it is below the specified limit.
7. Repeat the continuity test on other conductors if necessary.
Note: The continuity test is used to check if there is a continuous electrical connection between two points. It is commonly used to check for breaks or faults in wires or connections.
