Here is a step-by-step guide for installing the Intermatic ET2715C, ET2715CR, ET2715CP Electronic 1 Circuit 7 Day Time Switch:
1. Disconnect power: Before installing or servicing the time switch, make sure to disconnect power at the circuit breaker(s) or disconnect switch(es).
2. Bonding: For plastic enclosures, bonding between conduit connections is not automatic and must be provided as part of the installation.
3. Wiring: Use #14-#8 AWG wires, rated at least 105°C - COPPER conductors ONLY. Make sure there is no wire insulation under the terminal plate on the time switch connector. Firmly tighten terminal screws.
4. Outdoor or wet locations: For outdoor locations or wet locations (rain-tight), use conduit hubs that comply with requirements of the UL514B (standard for fitting conduit and outlet boxes).
5. Insulator: Do not remove the insulator that is covering the terminals.
6. Maximum current carrying capacity: Do NOT exceed the maximum current carrying capacity.
7. Close the enclosure door: Keep the door closed at all times when not servicing.
