To install the Hager JF861SPD Surge Protection Kit, follow these steps:
1. Start by fitting the bracket with a DIN Rail on the left-hand side of the Neutral assembly. Use 2x M4 screws to secure it. It is important to always install the chosen Incomer first.
2. Fit the SPA180N (Surge Protection Device) at the bottom half of the DIN rail. Above it, fit 3 SPA180 devices, making sure they are securely attached.
3. Connect the KBN381 link to the 4 SPD terminals and torque it to 4.5Nm.
4. Fit the copper Earth link into the SPA180N using the PE cage terminal. Secure it to the galvanized chassis with an M6 xxxx and washer, and torque it to 9Nm.
5. Connect the Neutral cable to the SPA180N using the PE cage terminal, torque it to 4.5Nm. Remove the Neutral nut at the chosen connection point, place the ring terminal over an M8 stud, and re-connect the M8 nut, torquing it to 13Nm.
6. Feed the L1/L2/L3 cables through the round grommet/barrier on the 630/800A version. Connect them to the phase links as shown, torquing them to 4.5Nm. Make sure to fit the protective strip at the bottom of the aperture to protect the cables from damage.
Please note that the device should only be connected and installed by an electrically skilled person. It is essential to observe national standards and safety regulations. Before installation, check the device for any external damage or defects. If any issues are detected, do not proceed with the installation. The use of the device should only be within the limits specified in the installation instructions. Opening or tampering with the device will invalidate the warranty.
