To configure the EXTECH 42280A Temperature and Humidity Datalogger using the PC, follow these steps:
1. Connect the 42280A to the PC using the supplied USB cable. The PC will recognize the 42280A as an external drive.
2. Open the "PDF Logger Configuration Tool" software, which is located in the drive.
3. Click on the "Configuration" tab to start the configuration process.
4. Set the desired parameters:
- Language: Select the language for the report.
- Sampling Rate: Choose the rate at which readings are logged.
- Start Delay: Set a timer to delay the logging start.
- Units: Select either ℃ or ℉ for temperature units.
- Password: Set a 16-character maximum password.
- Company Name: Add a 20-character maximum text string to reports.
- Alarm Types: Select Single (sin), Cumulative (acc), or No Alarm (dis). Refer to the User Manual for alarm details.
- Alarm Delay: Set an alarm trigger delay.
- Temp. Alarm Limit: Set the temperature alarm threshold.
- RH Alarm Limit: Set the RH alarm threshold.
5. Click on the "SAVE" button to complete the configuration.
6. Close the application, eject the 42280A by right-clicking the drive icon on the PC and selecting "Eject," and physically disconnect the logger from the PC.
