To mount the , you will need the following tools: wire strippers, drill, and screwdriver. Additionally, you will need supplies such as a junction box, #8 or #10 pan head screws, UL Listed PLTC cable, UL Listed electrical wire connectors (e.g., wirenuts), and silicone.
Here are the steps to mount the power supply:
1. Identify the primary wires, secondary wires, and the location of the mounting tabs on the power supply.
2. Use the mounting tab in the corner of the power supply to secure it.
3. It is recommended to mount the power supplies without a secondary enclosure to ensure adequate ventilation. Space the power supplies by standard knockout locations with a minimum of 0.75" (19 mm) between them.
4. If you are using two or more power supplies, the spacing must be at least 1.00" (25 mm) end-to-end and 4.00" (102 mm) on each side.
5. The spacing between the power supply and thermoplastic, wood, fiber, or other combustible enclosure materials must be 1.00" (25 mm).
6. Verify that the output current of the power supply is less than 5 DC Amps to avoid overloading.
7. It is recommended to use photo-cells or timing devices to ensure the power supplies are off during daylight hours when sign illumination is not needed. This helps prevent unnecessary operation and extends the power supply's lifetime.
