To install the ONE FOR ALL 14450, 14451 Smart Antenna, follow these steps:
1. Placement Tips for Antennas:
- Avoid metal surfaces, such as a metal stand.
- Move the antenna close to or in a window.
- Position the antenna as high as possible.
2. Connect the Antenna:
- Connect the micro USB connector to the Power Inserter.
- Connect the included power adapter into any standard 120V wall outlet.
- Connect the coaxial cable attached to the ANTENNA IN connector at the back of the TV or set-top box.
3. Position the Antenna:
- Decide how you would like to position the antenna: standing upright, wall-mounted, or flat.
- If standing upright, use the included 2 stands and insert them into the 2 slots on the bottom of the rear of the antenna.
- If wall-mounted, drill 2 holes in your wall with a distance of 178 mm (7 inches) between the center of the holes. Put the plugs in the holes and put the screws in the plugs.
- Position the antenna as high as possible and move close to or in a window, facing the direction of the TV towers for the best reception.
4. Fine-tuning the Antenna:
- You can rotate the antenna while lying flat or standing to fine-tune reception.
- The antenna has a unique Signal Level Indicator, which shows the current strength of incoming TV signals. The more LEDs lighting up, the stronger the signal.
5. Perform a Channel Scan:
- Set the tuner mode of your TV to ANTENNA.
- Choose CHANNEL SCAN, AUTO PROGRAM, AUTO TUNING, AUTO SCAN, or CHANNEL SEARCH in the setup menu of your TV.
- For detailed instructions on how to perform a channel scan, refer to the manual provided with your TV.
