To install and connect the Eterna BT4812 Multi Voltage Bell, please follow the steps below:
1. Ensure that the power supply is switched off before starting the installation process.
2. Determine the suitable location for the bell unit. It should be within the recommended range of 15 meters from the installation point.
3. Connect the bell unit to the mains power supply using appropriate wiring. The bell unit is double insulated, so there is no need for an earth connection.
4. The Eterna BT4812 Multi Voltage Bell offers multiple voltage tappings (4, 8, and 12V) to suit most bells and chimes. Select the appropriate tapping based on the requirements of your bell or chime.
5. Connect the bell or chime to the corresponding voltage tapping on the bell unit. Ensure that the connections are secure and properly insulated.
6. Once the connections are made, switch on the power supply.
7. The bell unit is equipped with a thermal cut out feature, which protects against overheating. If the unit exceeds the safe temperature limit, the thermal cut out will activate and disconnect the power. In such cases, allow the unit to cool down before using it again.
8. The Eterna BT4812 Multi Voltage Bell has an IP20 rating, which means it is protected against solid objects larger than 12mm and does not have protection against water. Therefore, it is important to install the bell unit in a dry location away from moisture.
