To install the KOHLER K-2913-PG Catalan Medicine Cabinet, please follow the installation guide provided with the product. Here are some key steps to consider:
1. Determine the desired swing direction: The cabinet can be installed with a left- or right-hand swing, depending on your preference and the layout of your bathroom.
2. Choose the installation type: The cabinet can be mounted either on the surface or recessed into the wall. If you opt for a surface mount installation, you will need to purchase the K-2878 side mirror kit separately.
3. Prepare the roughing-in opening: For recess-mount installations, ensure that the roughing-in opening measures 14-1/2" (368 mm) in width, 35-3/8" (899 mm) in height, and 4" (102 mm) in depth.
4. Mounting hardware: The cabinet comes with mounting hardware for both surface and recessed installations. Make sure to secure the screws provided to a stud to avoid any potential property or product damage. If mounting to a location without a stud, use appropriate anchors (not provided) before installing the screws.
5. Adjust shelves and hinges: The cabinet features four adjustable tempered-glass shelves that can be positioned according to your storage needs. The two-way adjustable hinges allow for a 107° opening capability, ensuring easy access to the cabinet.
