To install the KOHLER K-99001 Verdera Medicine Cabinet, you have two options: surface-mount installation or recess-mount installation. Here are the steps for each method:
Surface-Mount Installation:
1. Ensure that you have anchors rated for the loaded weight of the product.
2. Determine the desired height of the cabinet, making sure the mirrored door will clear any obstacles such as a faucet. A minimum distance of 3" (76 mm) is required.
3. Use the provided mounting hardware to secure the cabinet to the wall using the anchors.
4. Follow the anchor manufacturer's instructions for proper installation.
Recess-Mount Installation:
1. Frame the wall cavity and secure the cabinet to the framing studs. Ensure that the wall cavity is suitable for recess mounting and consult a professional if you encounter drain or vent piping or if your wall is load-bearing.
2. Reroute any electrical wires or water supply piping from the wall cavity.
3. Use the provided mounting hardware to secure the cabinet to the framing studs.
4. Follow the cutout dimensions provided in the installation guide for the recess-mount installation.
Please note that for both installation methods, you may need to purchase additional accessories such as the K-99675 side mirror kit or the K-99012 mirrored side kit, depending on your specific installation requirements.
