To install the allen roth VB220-4BNK Vanity Light, follow these steps:
1. Turn off circuit breakers and wall switch to the fixture supply line leads.
2. Remove the existing fixture and disconnect all electrical wiring.
3. Remove the mounting plate (B) from the fixture (A) by removing the mounting plate screws (C) from the edges of the fixture (A). Save the mounting plate screws (C) for later use.
4. Attach the mounting plate (B) to the outlet box using existing washers and outlet box screws or the provided machine screws (BB). Make sure to tighten the machine screws (BB) to secure the mounting plate (B). Note: Plastic outlet boxes are not recommended.
5. Unwrap the bare fixture wire from the black and white fixture wires. Strip 3/4 inch of insulation from the wire ends using wire strippers. Connect the white wire from the fixture (A) to the white wire from the outlet box using an existing wire connector or the provided wire connector (AA). Connect the black wire from the fixture (A) to the black wire from the outlet box using an existing wire connector or the provided wire connector (AA). Connect the bare/green ground wire from the outlet box to the bare ground wire from the fixture (A) with the provided wire connector (AA). Make sure to xxxx the wire connectors (AA) on in a clockwise direction.
6. Wrap electrical tape around each individual wire connector (AA) down to the wire. Push the wire connectors (AA) gently back into the outlet box and carefully push excess wiring into the outlet box. Make sure no bare wire or wire strands are visible after making connections.
7. Attach the fixture (A) to the mounting plate (B) using the mounting plate screws (C) previously removed. Before tightening the mounting plate screws (C) completely, use a level to check the fixture (A) and adjust if necessary. The fixture (A) can be installed with the sockets facing either up or down.
8. Remove the socket ring (D) from the socket of the fixture (A). Attach the shade (E) to the socket, securing it with the socket ring (D). Repeat this step for the remaining sockets. Be careful not to overtighten the socket ring (D) as it may crack or break.
9. Install standard-base bulbs (not included) with a maximum wattage of 60 watts or CFL/LED equivalent.
10. Restore power and test the fixture (A). If the lights do not function, refer to the troubleshooting section of the manual.
Please note that these instructions are a summary and it is important to refer to the complete instruction manual for detailed and accurate installation steps.
