To install the PROJECT SOURCE 42657 6-Light Chandelier, please follow the assembly instructions provided in the instruction manual. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Before starting the installation, make sure to turn off the circuit breakers and the wall switch to the supply line leads to ensure safety.
2. Remove the xxxx caps (F) from the mounting screws (I) preassembled to the mounting bracket (G) and save them for later. Remove the mounting bracket (G) from the ceiling plate (E).
3. Swivel the arms of the fixture (A) so that there is an equal distance between them.
4. Feed the wires from the fixture (A) through the center rod (K) and twist the center rod (K) clockwise into the center of the fixture (A) until secure.
5. Determine the desired length of the fixture and choose the appropriate combination of rods. Feed the wires from the fixture (A) through the center hole in the long rod without threads (L), long rods with threads (D), short rod (C), and out through the top of the ceiling plate (E). Connect the rods by twisting them in a clockwise direction. Note: If you choose not to use any long rods with threads (D) or the long rod without threads (L), you will need to remove the threads preassembled to the short rod (C) in order to connect it directly to the center rod (K).
6. Connect the supply and fixture (A) wires according to the provided diagram and these steps:
- Loosen the ground xxxx preassembled to the mounting bracket (G) and wrap the copper wire from the fixture (A) around the ground xxxx . Retighten the ground xxxx .
- Connect the bare copper wire from the fixture to the bare/green (ground) supply wire.
- Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) supply wire.
- Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black (hot) supply wire.
- Secure all wiring connections together with wire connectors (AA).
- Wrap electrical tape around each individual wire connector (AA) down to the wire. Turn the spliced/taped wires upward and gently push them into the outlet box. Ensure no bare wire strands are visible after making connections. Place the ground and neutral supply wire connections on opposite sides of the outlet box from the hot wire connection.
7. Lift the ceiling plate (E) onto the mounting screws (I) preassembled to the mounting bracket (G). Use the xxxx caps (F) to secure the ceiling plate (E) to the mounting bracket (G). If the ceiling plate (E) is not flush against the ceiling, remove it and loosen the hex nuts to adjust the mounting xxxx (I) length. Once adjusted, retighten the hex nuts and reinstall the ceiling plate (E).
8. Turn the socket ring (J) counterclockwise to remove it from the socket of the fixture (A). Place the shade (B) over the socket and secure it with the socket ring (J) by turning it in a clockwise direction.
9. Insert E26-base bulbs (sold separately) into the sockets of the fixture (A).
10. Finally, restore power to the circuit breakers and the wall switch to the supply line leads.
