To install the MD-F6336BK110V Ceiling Fan, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the electricity is turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box before beginning the installation.
2. Make sure the outlet box and support structure are securely mounted and capable of supporting the weight of the fan (35lb or 15.9kg). Use only UL listed outlet boxes marked "Acceptable for Fan Support of 35lbs or less."
3. Mount the fan with a minimum of 7 ft. (2.1m) clearance from the trailing edge of the blades to the floor.
4. Do not operate the reversing switch while the fan blades are in motion. Turn off the fan and stop the blades before reversing the blade direction.
5. Avoid placing objects in the path of the blades.
6. Be cautious when working around or cleaning the fan to avoid personal injury or damage.
7. Follow the electrical diagrams provided in the manual and ensure that all electrical connections comply with local codes and the National Electrical Code.
8. After making electrical connections, turn spliced conductors upward and push them carefully up into the outlet box. Spread the wires apart with the grounded conductor and the equipment-grounding conductor on one side of the outlet box.
9. Check and retighten all setscrews before installation.
