To clean the Honeycomb Cooling Media in the Honeywell CO301PC Portable Evaporative Air Cooler, please follow these steps:
1. Turn off the air cooler and unplug it from the power outlet.
2. Remove the screws from the front grill of the air cooler.
3. Carefully pull out the front grill from the air cooler.
4. The Honeycomb Cooling Pad is secured on the Honeycomb Frame, which is fixed in place by screws on the left and right side of the frame. Remove these screws to release the Honeycomb Frame Cover.
5. Pull out the Honeycomb Frame Cover and Honeycomb Cooling Pad.
6. Rinse the Honeycomb Cooling Pad under fresh water to remove dust and dirt. You can use a soft brush or sponge to gently scrub the pad if necessary.
7. Replace the old Honeycomb Cooling Pad with a new one by placing it into the grooves of the Honeycomb Frame until it fits comfortably and securely in place on the frame.
8. Replace the Honeycomb Frame Cover back onto the Honeycomb Frame by replacing the screws and tightening them in place. This secures the Honeycomb Cooling Pad in place on the Honeycomb Frame.
9. Repeat steps 2 to 8 to remove and clean the Honeycomb Cooling Pad on the rear grill.
10. Once the Honeycomb Cooling Media is clean and dry, reassemble the front and rear grills by inserting them back into the air cooler and tightening the screws.
11. Plug in the air cooler and turn it on to resume normal operation.
Regular cleaning of the Honeycomb Cooling Media is recommended to maintain optimal cooling performance. The cleaning frequency may vary depending on local air and water conditions. If mineral deposits build up on the Honeycomb Cooling Media, it may be necessary to clean it more frequently. Always make sure to unplug the air cooler and follow the safety precautions mentioned in the user manual before cleaning.
