To properly use the WINNTEC 09807 Y440105 Engine Leveller, follow these steps:
1. Attach the leveller to the load using the recommended lifting points. If you are lifting an engine, make sure all necessary components such as exhaust, gearbox, cables, and electrical connections are disconnected.
2. Slowly take the weight of the engine. As the load begins to lift, it may rise unevenly at one end. Use the crank handle of the leveller to move the load away from the raised end, raising the load a little at a time until it rises squarely.
3. If there is a degree of twist, adjust the chain and shackle arrangement to lengthen or shorten the hooks as appropriate. Ensure that the full thickness of the bolt is in contact with the threaded end of the shackle.
4. If the method mentioned above is insufficient to compensate for the degree of twist, adjust the chain length on one or more of the lifting points.
Raising a Load at an Angle:
1. In some cases, it may be necessary to raise the load at an angle. Adjust the chains and shackles appropriately and select the correct hole in the sliding bar.
2. Gently raise the load, turning the crank handle as required to achieve the required degree of tilt.
Maintenance:
1. Before each use, visually inspect the leveller for any cracks, damage, or general wear. If any damage is present or if you are unsure of its serviceability, consult SIP After Sales or your local SIP distributor and remove it from service immediately.
2. Regularly check the sliding bar for wear, damage, and distortion. Lightly lubricate the sliding bar and adjusting lead xxxx .
3. Inspect the chains for damage, wear, elongation, etc. If any irregularities are present, replace them.
