To clean the Carter-Hoffmann BB64 Heated Banquet Cart, please follow these steps:
1. Allow the cabinet to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Unplug the cabinet from the electrical power source.
3. Remove the entire heating unit from the cabinet by unplugging it and wrapping the cord around the handle. Lift the heater unit out of the cabinet.
4. Remove the racks or shelves from the cabinet. These can be easily lifted up and pulled out.
5. Clean the vinyl trim using a chlorine-free detergent and water. Rinse thoroughly with clear water and allow it to dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, car polish, or substances containing strong aromatic solvents or alcohol.
6. Clean the stainless steel surfaces using only cleansers, detergents, degreasers, or sanitizers that are certified to be "chloride-free" and "phosphate-free". Do not exceed recommended concentrations or mixing ratios. After cleaning and sanitizing, rinse all exposed surfaces thoroughly with large amounts of clear water. Wipe off any standing liquid or residue from all horizontal surfaces, corners, or edges.
7. Wipe dry with a clean, soft cloth.
8. Replace the heating unit back into the cabinet.
9. If necessary, lubricate the casters with a grease gun. Casters with special sealed bearings are recommended for frequent cart wash or steam cleaning systems.
10. Make sure all joints remain sealed and door latches do not stick. Use WD-40, silicone spray, graphite, or other commercial lubricants for aluminum products to keep door latches and hinges from sticking. Do not use oil.
11. If the cabinet has perimeter bumpers and the vinyl has been dislodged from the channel, you can pry it back into place with a common screwdriver.
Please note that using cleaning agents that are not recommended for stainless steel may cause permanent damage to the cabinet, which is not covered by the warranty.
