To change the temperature scale from Fahrenheit to Celsius on the EXERGEN TAT-5000 Hospital-Grade Thermometer, you will need a small screwdriver. Here are the steps:
1. Loosen the single xxxx on the bottom of the case and remove the battery cover.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Locate the switch to the right of the battery (shown in the manual's drawing), and with the tip of the screwdriver, slide it up or down to the desired scale (°F or °C).
4. Remove the screwdriver.
5. Replace the battery and cover.
6. Tighten the xxxx .
Please note that the thermometer comes preset based on your preference at the time of purchase. If you need to change the scale, follow the above steps.
