To install the NOVALUX 83101 LED Canopy Light, please follow the instructions provided in the manual. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Ensure that you have a qualified electrician for installation. Only licensed electricians should install the product to prevent personal injury or product damage.
2. Before starting the installation, disconnect power to avoid electric shock or component damage.
3. Install the canopy light in accordance with the national electric code (NEC) and all applicable federal, state, and local electric codes and safety standards.
4. Allow the product to cool and disconnect it before servicing.
5. Do not alter or modify the product, as it may cause serious personal injury, death, property damage, and/or product malfunction.
6. Properly ground the product to prevent product malfunction and electrical shock.
7. The luminaire is designed to operate in ambient temperatures ranging from -40°C to 40°C and should be horizontally mounted with the LEDs facing down.
8. Note that the product is not suitable for environments with corrosive gas liquids or high-pressure water vapor.
9. Surface Mounted with J-Box:
- Loosen the xxxx on the side of the light and remove the bracket from the canopy light, leaving just the ring on the bracket.
- Fasten the bracket to the J-Box and pass the wire through the central hole for wiring.
- Attach the canopy light with the bracket by replacing the ring on the clips.
- Connect the black wire for line, white for neutral, and yellow/green for ground.
- Slide the canopy light into the bracket and secure the xxxx on the side of the light to prevent it from sliding out. Installation is complete.
10. Pendant with 3/4 Inch Conduit:
- Connect the wires threaded from the conduit to the canopy light.
- Connect the black wire for line, white for neutral, and yellow/green for ground.
- xxxx the threaded conduit into the hole on top of the canopy light. Installation is complete.
11. General Wiring Guide:
- If the fixture is not connected to a separate 0-10V dimming circuit, cap off the purple and gray wires separately to avoid fixture malfunction.
12. Motion Sensor Installation (sold separately):
- Follow the steps provided in the manual for installing the motion sensor.
- Make the wiring connections as shown in the diagrams.
- Adjust the sensor settings according to the sensor installation instructions.
- Disable the light sensor via control settings if mounting the sensor behind a reflector.
13. SPEC-SELECT™ Fixtures - Field Adjustable Wattage & CCT (If applicable):
- The color temperature and lumen output can be adjusted using the slide switches on the side of the fixture.
- Each switch has three options corresponding to three color temperatures (3000K, 4000K, and 5000K) and three wattages.
- Remove the plugs covering each hole to access the slide switches.
- Use a finger or screwdriver to move each switch left, right, or center for the desired wattage or color temperature.
- Once the settings have been selected, reinstall the plugs back into each hole.
