To lock and unlock the brake on the TUG B08LVK982S 360 Degree Tangle-Free Retractable Dog Leash, follow these steps:
1. To stop or brake the leash, push the brake button down with your thumb.
2. To lock the brake in place, move the button forward with your thumb until it is secure. Keep your thumb over the lock button for extra safety.
3. To release the brake, pull the lock button back.
