To install the NEVERDIE 12V130A-G31-LRBM8 Compact Series 100 Internal BMS battery, follow these steps:
1. Before installation, check the battery for any visible damage.
2. Ensure that the top surface of the battery and terminal connections are clean, free of dirt and corrosion, and dry.
3. Turn off the battery power by checking the LED integrated into the Power button and making sure it is completely off. If the LED is on or blinking, press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds until the LED turns off.
4. Ensure that there are no specific ventilation requirements for battery installation, but provide enough airflow to prevent excessive heat build-up.
5. Store and install the battery in a clean, cool, and dry place, away from water, oil, and dirt.
6. Make sure the battery is oriented with the terminals facing up.
7. Use the included M8 bolts, flat washers, and lock washers to secure the 5/16” or M8 size ring terminal lugs to the battery's flat threaded terminals. Place the ring terminal lug in direct contact with the top surface of the power terminal first, and then place the washers on top of the lug. Do not place any washers between the battery power terminal and the ring terminal lug.
8. Connect the positive and negative battery cables with correct polarity, ensuring that the polarity of the battery circuit is correct to avoid potential equipment and battery damage.
9. Tighten both M8 power terminal bolts to 108in-lbs/12.2Nm to ensure good contact with the ring terminal lug.
10. If attaching more than one lug to each terminal, ensure that at least 1/4” or 6mm of bolt thread is available to secure the connection. Use longer M8x1.25mm stainless bolts if necessary.
11. Properly size the battery cables to handle the expected load, referring to NEC Table 310.15(B)16 for maximum amperage based on the cable gauge size. For cable lengths more than 6 feet, heavier gauge wire may be required to avoid unacceptable voltage drop.
12. Properly fuse the battery circuit to handle the expected load and not exceed the battery specifications.
13. After installation is complete, turn on the battery power by a short-press of the Power button. The LED indicator will illuminate to confirm the battery's powered-on state.
