To set up and use the HILTI PR 3-HVSG A12 Indoor Rotating Laser Level, follow these steps:
1. Before using the product, read the operating instructions provided in the manual to ensure safe and proper handling.
2. Insert the Hilti Li-ion battery (B12-30) into the battery compartment of the tool. Make sure the battery is securely seated.
3. Switch on the tool by pressing the ON/OFF button. The tool will start to level itself automatically within a range of ±5°. The auto-leveling LED will blink green during the leveling phase.
4. For horizontal leveling, mount the tool on a suitable mounting device such as a wall bracket or tripod. Ensure that the surface on which the tool stands is not inclined more than ±5°.
5. Press the ON/OFF button again to activate the laser beam. The beam will start to rotate, and the auto-leveling LED will light up green when the tool has leveled itself.
6. For vertical alignment, place or mount the tool so that the control panel faces upwards. Use the visual sighting aids to adjust the tool's vertical axis in the required direction.
7. Press the ON/OFF button to project a stationary laser beam vertically downwards. This beam serves as the reference point for positioning the tool.
8. Adjust the rotation speed of the laser beam by pressing the rotation speed button. There are four speeds available: 0, 90, 300, and 600 rotations per minute.
9. To set the tool in inclined plane mode, press the inclined plane mode button. The inclined plane mode LED will light up orange. The tool can be manually inclined within a range of ±5° using the PRA 2 remote control unit or the slope adapter accessory.
10. The tool is equipped with a shock warning function that activates if the tool is knocked off level during operation. The shock warning LED will light up orange, and the laser beam will stop rotating. To deactivate the shock warning function, press the "Deactivate shock warning" button.
11. The PRA 2 remote control unit can be used to control the rotating laser from a distance. It allows you to adjust the speed of rotation, select the line function, and control the laser beam's direction.
12. After use, clean the tool with a soft, clean cloth. Do not touch the laser exit window with your fingers. Store the tool in a dry place, and ensure it is dry before storage.
