To deploy the ALPHA MIL 2.0 Antenna on a tripod or mast, follow these steps:
1. Remove the spike from the mount and install the mount on a tripod or mast with a diameter of less than 1.25" O.D.
2. Install the Match on the Mount.
3. Attach the 8' wire to the Ground connection on the Match and the 25' wire to the NVIS connection on top of the Match.
4. Install the MIL 2.0 whip on top of the Match.
5. Deploy your mast or tripod to a height of 5 feet or more. Higher elevation enhances long-distance communication (DX), while lower elevation enhances Near Vertical Incidence Skywave (NVIS) communication.
6. Pull the 8' and 25' wire elements out in opposite directions so they are not laying on the ground, then press their stakes into the soil. Make sure they do not run above the coax.
7. Note that the signal will launch away from the NVIS element.
For further assistance or more deployment options, refer to the ALPHA MIL 2.0 Antenna User Guide provided by the manufacturer.
