1. Before starting the installation, make sure to check all the dimensions accurately to ensure proper fit.
2. Determine the minimum clearances required for the appliance. Refer to the measurements provided in the instruction manual (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K) and ensure that these clearances are maintained during installation.
3. Install a suitable floor protector according to the requirements specified in Clause 3.3.2 of AS/NZS 2918:2001. The floor protector should be constructed with an 18mm thick Bellis Board or similar material with a thermal resistance of 0.1m² k/W per 9mm thick sheet.
4. If the unit height above the floor is 200mm or higher, refer to the hearth measurement drawing to determine the minimum hearth dimension forward of the unit (B). If the unit height is less than 200mm, refer to the hearth measurement on the previous page.
5. Install the baffle plates by removing the middle air tube and placing all four baffle plates above the air tubes on both sides closest to the firebox wall. Ensure that the baffle plates are placed as far back as possible, 222mm from front to back, and extend from side to side by 212mm. Re-place the middle air tube back into position.
6. Slide the baffle plates atop the other two baffle plates into the middle position, leaving a gap of 1-2mm between the plates. The gaps should be roughly in the middle of the air tubes. The unit is now ready for use.
7. If you want to adjust the door, open it as far as required to access the adjustment angle. Mark the position of the adjustment angle on the firebox. Loosen the two bolts as required, but do not unscrew them all the way out. Push the packer from the bottom edge of the adjustment angle until fully removed. Re-position the adjustment angle at the markers and tighten. Close the door and check if the latch locks properly. The adjustment is complete if no further adjustment is needed.
8. If you need to install seismic restraints, follow the instructions provided in the manual for either the meridian base installation or table installation, depending on your preferred method.
9. For installation on a flat ceiling or raked ceiling, refer to the specific sections in the manual for detailed information on how to proceed.
10. If your appliance includes a fan switch, follow the electrical installation instructions provided in the manual. It is important to have a qualified installer perform this work.
