To install the Quoizel LOM84 Series Lombard 1-Light Outdoor Wall Lantern, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the electricity at the circuit breaker box or main fuse box before beginning installation to avoid the risk of electric shock.
2. Gather the necessary tools for installation.
3. Carefully read and understand the entire instruction manual before starting the installation process.
4. Install the arm of the lantern according to the provided instructions.
5. Install the inner backplate of the lantern.
6. Proceed with the wiring process, ensuring that you follow all electrical installation guidelines. If you are unsure about electrical installation, it is recommended to consult a licensed electrician.
7. Install the fixture body onto the arm and secure it properly.
8. Install the glass shade onto the fixture body.
9. Install the correct bulb, making sure to refer to the fixture markings and/or labels for the maximum wattage allowed.
10. Apply caulking as instructed, but do not caulk the bottom of the backplate to allow moisture to escape.
11. Once the installation is complete, restore electricity by turning it back on at the circuit breaker box or main fuse box.
12. Keep the instruction manual for future reference.
