To change the speed of the Makita XPH12 Cordless Hammer Driver Drill, follow these steps:
1. Switch off the tool and remove the battery cartridge.
2. Locate the speed change lever on the tool. It is a small lever located near the trigger.
3. Push the speed change lever to the "2" position for high speed or the "1" position for low speed but high torque. Make sure the lever is fully set to the desired position.
4. Reinstall the battery cartridge and switch on the tool.
5. The tool will now operate at the selected speed.
Please note that it is important to set the speed change lever fully to the correct position. Operating the tool with the lever positioned halfway between the "1" and "2" positions may damage the tool.
