To connect and set up the VigilLink VLSP-14H20 HDMI Splitter, follow these steps:
1. Connect the HDMI input port (labeled "HDMI IN") of the splitter to the HDMI output port of your source device (e.g., DVD player, set-top box) using an HDMI cable.
2. Connect each HDMI output port (labeled "HDMI OUT 1~4") of the splitter to the HDMI input port of your display devices (e.g., TVs, monitors) using HDMI cables.
3. Plug the included 5V/1A DC power adapter into the "DC 5V" port of the splitter.
4. Connect the power adapter to an AC outlet.
Once the connections are made, the splitter will automatically distribute the HDMI signal from your source device to the connected display devices. The "POWER LED" will illuminate to indicate that the splitter is powered on. The "IN LED" will illuminate when the source device is connected, and the "OUT LED" will indicate which HDMI outputs are connected to active display devices.
You can also adjust the EDID settings of the splitter using the "EDID STD" and "EDID TV" modes. In the "STD" mode, the splitter will use its built-in EDID settings, and in the "TV" mode, it will read the EDID settings of the connected display device. Refer to the user manual for more information on EDID settings.
Please note that it is recommended to use a surge protection device to protect the splitter and your equipment from electrical spikes and surges.
