To connect the VigilLink VLHA-ERAD HDMI 2.0 eARC Audio Adapter to your audio/video setup, follow these steps:
1. Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the HDMI IN port of the audio adapter.
2. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI output port of your HDMI source device, such as a DVD player or gaming console.
3. Connect an HDMI cable from the SOUND BAR port of the audio adapter to the HDMI input port of your eARC/ARC sound system or soundbar.
4. If you have a TV with eARC/ARC function, connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI OUT1 port of the audio adapter to the eARC/ARC HDMI input port of your TV.
5. If you have a legacy audio/video receiver without eARC/ARC function, you can connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI OUT2 port of the audio adapter to the HDMI input port of your receiver. This will allow you to output audio only to your receiver while keeping the video signal separate.
6. Connect the included power adapter to the DC 5V power input port of the audio adapter, and plug it into a power outlet.
Once the connections are made, you can power on your devices and select the appropriate input on your sound system or TV to start enjoying audio from your HDMI source device.
