To adjust the browning control on the Cookworks TA1710A-GS Stainless Steel 2 Slice Toaster, follow these steps:
1. Place the toaster on a stable, flat, heat resistant surface.
2. Fully unwind the cable and plug it in.
3. Locate the browning control xxxx on the toaster. It is usually numbered from 1 to 7, with 1 being the lightest setting and 7 being the darkest setting.
4. Turn the browning control xxxx to the desired setting. A lighter colored toast will be obtained by selecting lower settings (1 & 2), while a darker toast will be achieved by selecting higher settings (6 & 7).
5. After selecting the appropriate setting, place a slice of bread into each carriage of the toaster.
6. Lower the toast by pressing down on the carriage handle. The indicator in the CANCEL button will illuminate. If the carriage does not stay down, check that the toaster is switched on at the socket.
7. The toast will automatically pop up when the toasting time has been completed. If the desired browning level has not been reached, you can adjust the browning control xxxx and toast for additional cycles until the desired result is achieved.
Note: When using the toaster for the first time or changing bread types, it is advisable to set the browning control at 3 and check at intervals to see if the desired browning level has been reached. Additionally, dry thin slices of bread will toast quicker than moist or thick slices and should be toasted on a lower setting.
