To upgrade the memory on the Lenovo P14s i Gen 3 Laptop, follow these steps:
1. Make sure to turn off the laptop and disconnect the power adapter.
2. Remove the bottom cover of the laptop by unscrewing the screws that secure it in place. Refer to the Hardware Maintenance Manual for the exact location and number of screws.
3. Locate the memory slots on the motherboard. There is one soldered-down DIMM and one DIMM slot for additional memory.
4. If you want to add more memory, insert the new memory module into the empty DIMM slot. Make sure the memory module is aligned correctly with the slot and gently press it down until it clicks into place.
5. If you want to replace the existing memory module, gently push down on the latches on both sides of the module to release it from the slot. Then, remove the module from the slot.
6. Insert the new memory module into the slot, aligning it correctly, and press it down until it clicks into place.
7. Replace the bottom cover of the laptop and secure it with the screws.
8. Connect the power adapter and turn on the laptop.
