To install the BlendMount BRD-2006 Radenso Pro Mount on a C6 Corvette rear view mirror, follow these steps:
1. Install your radar detector onto the mount before attaching it to the rear view mirror. Observe how the Spring Clip functions. Squeeze the Spring Clip Release Tab and the back side of the mount together. Push the RD Release button and slide the RD onto the Spring Clip until it hits the bottom of the Spring Clip Release Tab. Then release both the Tab and the Button. Slide the RD slightly toward you until it locks into position.
2. Remove the Spring Clip by removing both Pinch Plate Screws.
3. Before installing the mount, make sure the two Clamp Screws, which are accessible through the slots of the Rotating Adjustment Plate, are accessible. Insert the supplied allen wrench into the heads of the Clamp Screws to ensure accessibility.
4. Place the Windshield Pad onto the Silicone Pad. Position the mount and compress the Silicone Pad into the Windshield Pad as you slide it upwards into the recessed area behind the mirror. You will hear the Hook snap into place when it is positioned correctly.
5. Tighten the two Clamp Screws, alternating from one to the other every two or three revolutions. You will feel some resistance once the Rubber Pad starts compressing against the bottom of the mirror. Ensure that both Clamp Screws are tight. Reattach the Spring Clip to the Pinch Plate.
6. Install the radar detector onto the mount, making sure it locks onto the Spring Clip. You should hear it lock into position. Make any necessary adjustments as shown in the manual. It is recommended to adjust the radar detector so it is as close to the bottom of the mirror as possible. The spring clip allows you to move the radar detector downward with one finger while pressing.
7. For additional stability, it is recommended to install the 3/4" diameter Support Pad between the mirror and the radar detector. Use the supplied alcohol pad to clean the top of the radar detector before installing the Support Pad.
Important cautions:
- Do not use this mount if it interferes with the adjustability or operation of your rear view mirror.
- Do not use this mount if the radar detector creates an unsafe viewing obstruction.
- Do not attempt to modify this product. Consult the manufacturer for assistance.
