To change the password for the Axis network switch, follow these steps:
1. Access the web interface of the Axis device by entering its IP address in a web browser.
2. Navigate to the "Advanced" menu and select "Security".
3. In the Security settings, locate the "Configuration" section and click on "Switch" and then "Users".
4. You will see a list of users. Find the "root" account, which is the main device administration account.
5. Click on the "Edit" or "Change" button next to the root account.
6. Enter the new password in the designated field. Make sure to use a strong password that meets the recommended complexity and length requirements.
7. Confirm the new password and click on "Save" or "Apply" to save the changes.
It is important to note that using the same password for all Axis devices simplifies management but lowers security. It is recommended to use unique passwords for each Axis device to enhance security. Additionally, password rotation is also recommended to further strengthen security.
