To install the HYTRONIK HMW11 Surface Mount High Bay Motion Sensor, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the installation is carried out by a qualified engineer in accordance with local regulations.
2. Disconnect the power supply before starting the installation.
3. For direct junction "J" box mounting:
a. Separate the control board (A) from the facia (B) and junction box (C).
b. Make the electrical connections to the control board (A) as per the detailed wiring diagram provided in the manual.
c. Secure the control board (A) to the junction box.
d. Set up the sensor modes according to sections 3 and 4 of the manual.
e. Clip the facial plate (B) to the control board (A).
4. For surface mount assembly:
a. Separate the control board (A) from the facia (B) and surface box (C).
b. Securely mount the surface box (C) to a flat and solid surface.
c. Make the electrical connections to the control board (A) as per the detailed wiring diagram provided in the manual.
d. Set up the sensor modes according to sections 3 and 4 of the manual.
e. Secure the control board (A) to the surface box (C).
f. Clip the facial plate (B) to the control board (A).
It is important to note that the manual recommends a mounting distance of more than 2m between sensors to prevent false-triggering. Additionally, make sure to follow all safety precautions and ensure that the environmental conditions are suitable for electronic equipment.
