To clean the filter element of the SEALEY WPF2.V2 Inlet Filter for Surface Mounting Pumps, follow these steps:
1. Unscrew the sight glass/cup (item 1) and remove the filter element (item 4).
2. The filter element gauze is delicate, so special care is required when cleaning. You can flush it clean with water or use a soft brush to gently clean it.
3. The filter base (cover cap) (item 3) with the "O" ring (item 2) snaps on and off the filter cylinder element for cleaning.
4. After cleaning, reassemble the filter by placing the assembled filter element inside the sight glass bowl onto the central register boss.
5. Ensure the small "O" ring (item 2) is fitted and xxxx the sight glass bowl onto the top manifold hand-tight.
Note: It is important to stop the pump before attempting to clean the filter. Additionally, be aware of the pump efficiency during operation to know when the filter needs cleaning.
