To set the timing range on the Presco CT1 Series 4 General Purpose Timer, you will need to use the dip switches located on the timer. The timer offers four selectable timing ranges: 1 to 255 seconds, 10 to 2550 seconds, 1 to 255 minutes, and 1 to 255 hours. Each timing range can be set in specific increments.
To set the timing range, follow these steps:
1. Locate dip switch bank A on the timer.
2. Each dip switch in bank A has a value assigned to it. To calculate the total time, add up the values of the dip switches that are turned on.
3. If no dip switches in bank A are turned on, the total time selected will be 0. However, in most operating modes, this value is not allowed, and the timer will default to a total time of 1 or operate in bistable mode.
4. The total time value from bank A is then multiplied by the time base set by dip switches 3 and 4 on bank B to determine the final timing range.
For example, if you want to set a timing range of 30 seconds, you would turn on dip switch 4 on bank A (which has a value of 16) and set dip switches 3 and 4 on bank B to the desired time base.
Please refer to the installation guide for more detailed instructions and examples on setting the timing range for different operating modes.
