To set up the TANGERINE NF18MESH CloudMesh Gateway for your FTTP NBN connection, follow these steps:
1. Locate the telephone wall socket in your property that has been activated for NBN. Disconnect all equipment, including phones and fax machines, from your telephone sockets to avoid interference with the NBN signal.
2. Connect your modem to the telephone wall socket using the DSL port on the back of the Netcomm modem. Make sure to use the first (main) socket at your property. If you're unsure, you may need a private phone technician to check your wiring.
3. Use a network cable to connect your router from the UNI-D1 port on the back of the NBN Connection box to the blue WAN port on your NetComm modem.
4. Power on the modem and wait for a couple of minutes for it to connect to the network. Once connected, the Power, WAN, and WiFi 2.4 – 5 lights on the router should display a steady green light, while the internet light will be flashing. If the lights are not on, try turning off the connection box for 10 seconds and wait for up to 10 minutes for the lights to come on.
5. After connecting the modem, wait for up to 20 minutes to allow it to establish a connection with your devices.
6. Once connected, you can run a speed test to check the speed of your connection at www.speedtest.net.
If you encounter any issues during the setup process or if the modem is still not connected after 20 minutes, you can contact the TANGERINE technical support team for further assistance. They are available from 8 AM to 10 PM on weekdays and 8 AM to 8 PM on weekends (AET). You can reach them by phone at 1800 211 112 or through live chat on the TANGERINE website (www.tangerinetelecom.com.au).
