To set up the TANGERINE NF18MESH CloudMesh Gateway, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the gateway is placed in a central location indoors for optimal WiFi performance. Make sure there is proper airflow around the gateway by allowing a minimum clearance of 5cm around all sides and the top.
2. Do not place the gateway in direct sunlight or any hot areas. The safe operating temperature is between 0° and 40°C. Avoid contact with liquid or moisture and do not place the gateway in wet or humid areas.
3. Always use the provided power supply unit and avoid using a damaged power supply unit or cable.
4. The gateway should not be disassembled, repaired, or modified by the user. There are no user-serviceable components inside.
5. Keep the gateway and its accessories out of reach of small children as they contain small parts with sharp edges.
6. The gateway complies with RF exposure limits and should be used at a distance of not less than 20 cm from the body.
7. Handle the gateway and its accessories with care, avoiding exposure to open flames, dropping, bending, or using harsh chemicals for cleaning. Follow local regulations for electronic product disposal.
To connect the Netcomm NF18MESH modem for FTTN/B connections:
1. Locate the activated telephone wall socket for NBN in your property.
2. Disconnect all equipment (phones, fax machines) from the telephone sockets to avoid interference.
3. Connect the modem to the telephone wall socket using the DSL port on the back of the Netcomm modem and power it on. Use the main socket if unsure.
4. Use a network cable to connect your router from the UNI-D1 port on the NBN Connection box to the blue WAN port on the NetComm modem.
5. Wait for a couple of minutes for the modem to connect to the network. The Power, WAN, and WiFi lights should display a steady green light.
6. After the modem is connected, wait for up to 20 minutes to connect your devices. You can run a speed test at www.speedtest.net to check the connection speed.
