To install the Aquascape 84059 4.5 Watt Color Changing Spotlight, follow these steps:
1. Choose the mounting option that works best for your light. You can use the removable mounting stand, landscape stake, or no stand/stake to disguise the fixture between rocks.
2. If using the removable mounting stand or landscape stake, remove the threaded nut from the fixture holder. Insert the holder into the base and use the threaded nut to secure it. If not using a stand or stake, skip this step.
3. Adjust the angle of the light by pushing up or down on the fixture holder until it clicks into the desired position.
4. Connect the light fixture to the Aquascape color-changing splitters and extensions using the 5-pin quick-connect fittings. Do not cut or remove the quick-connect fitting or isolation chamber, as it will damage the light and void the warranty.
5. Ensure that all quick-connect connections are fully tightened to prevent water from entering. You can use dielectric grease in all connections to further prevent water infiltration.
6. If you have existing low-voltage lighting or components, split the power after the transformer, before the color-changing lighting control hub, to run the color-changing light off the existing transformer.
7. The Aquascape Smart Control Hub is required to power and control the color-changing lights. Connect the light, splitter, or extension to the 5-pin quick-connect fitting attached to the hub. Each Smart Control Hub can control up to 150 watts of color-changing lights.
8. Plug the transformer into a GFCI-protected outlet. It is recommended to locate the transformer as close to the light fixtures as possible to avoid voltage drops caused by long cable runs.
