To install the Gorenje BHP62CLI Cooker Hood, follow these steps:
1. Before starting the installation, make sure all components are undamaged. If any components are damaged, contact your dealer and do not proceed with the installation.
2. Read the installation instructions carefully and ensure you have all the necessary tools and materials.
3. If you are using the ducting version of the hood, you will need to connect a special pipe to the connection ring located on top of the hood. The pipe should have a diameter equal to that of the connection ring. The pipe should be slightly slanted (about 10°) in the horizontal runs and directed upwards to vent the air easily from the room to the outside.
4. If you are using the filter version of the hood, you will need to install an active charcoal filter. This filter removes grease and smells from the extracted air before sending it back into the room through the upper outlet grid. The filter can be obtained from your retailer.
5. The minimum distance between the supporting surface for the cooking equipment on the hob and the lowest part of the range hood must be not less than 50cm from electric cookers and 65cm from gas or mixed cookers. If the installation instructions for your gas hob specify a greater distance, you must adhere to those instructions.
6. The electrical connection must correspond to the rating indicated on the plate inside the hood. If the hood is provided with a plug, connect it to a socket in compliance with current regulations. If it is not fitted with a plug or the plug is not located in an accessible area, apply a double pole switch in accordance with standards to ensure complete disconnection of the mains.
7. The hood is heavy, so it is recommended to have at least two people handle and install it. Ensure that the installation area is suitable for the size of the hood.
8. Use the supplied fixing screws or purchase the correct screws if not supplied. Consult an authorized service assistance center or a qualified person if you are unsure about the correct screws to use.
9. Secure the hood to the wall or ceiling using the provided expansion wall plugs. Make sure the wall or ceiling is strong enough to support the weight of the hood.
10. Once the hood is installed, you can use it by pressing the appropriate buttons to control the motor speed and lights. Refer to the operation section of the manual for detailed instructions on how to use the hood.
Note: This is a general overview of the installation process. For specific details and diagrams, please refer to the Gorenje BHP62CLI Cooker Hood Instruction Manual.
