To install the LSI DNB146 3 Axis Ultrasonic Anemometer, follow these steps:
1. Choose a well-exposed spot for the anemometer. The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) suggests assembling the sensor 10 meters off the ground, in a place where the distance between the anemometer and surrounding obstacles is at least 10 times the height of those objects from the ground.
2. Mount the anemometer on a mast with a diameter of either 33 mm or 55 mm (using the DNB192 adapter, which is not included).
3. xxxx the 26-pole female connector of the cable to the anemometer, ensuring connection stability by tightening the connector's external nut.
4. The anemometer does not require positioning as the orientation is determined by the internal compass. However, if the compass needs to be disabled due to magnetic interference, position the sensor with the metal support opposite the connector facing North.
5. Once the alignment is complete, fix the anemometer on the mast by tightening the cable tie at the bottom of the anemometer.
Please note that it is important to follow the installation guidelines provided by the manufacturer to ensure accurate measurements and optimal performance of the anemometer. For more detailed instructions, refer to the LSI DNB146 3 Axis Ultrasonic Anemometer User Manual.
